I realized that I haven't given an update about my process of becoming an emerging writer. So, today I'll share some exciting developments in Dietcoke4breakfast Land!
First off, a short story of mine was accepted to be published at a literary website! I don't yet know when it will be published, but I will be providing a link as soon as I know!
Secondly, I successfully pitched a pop culture essay to an online magazine! It's about an all-time favorite pop culture touchstone of mine, and it will be linked once published as well.
Thirdly, I have two poems appearing in the second edition of CRUSH, the Bi Arts Festival zine!
Other than that, I've had a fruitful summer of learning/revisiting crafts such as embroidery and collaging and spending time with friends and family.
I've mostly been focusing on my podcast, Pop& Down. On Pop& Down, I interview folks with mental health/addiction/trauma experiences and how they've been reflected in pop culture, and/or how pop culture has helped them through their experiences. Check it out on Soundcloud, or your podcatcher of choice! I'll also take this opportunity to ask you to support Pop& Down on Patreon. You can donate as little as $1 a month to help me make my podcast better!
